ABC Still Star Crossed, star Sterling Sulieman says , “Trying not to pick sides”

HOLLYWOOD, CA (Hollywood Daily Star) 2017/5/29 – “You do get to see a little bit of Romeo and Juliette in the pilot,” says Still Star Crossed star Medalion Rahimi  “But, not for very long unfortunately. Our story begins from there.”

“We are the royal family,” says Still Star Crossed star Sterling Sulieman. “You have the Capulets and the Monteques. We are in between them trying to keep peace in the city is a very hard task. They do not make it easy. Trying not to pick sides is one of the things we have to do as well.”

This drama series starts where the famous love story about Romeo and Juliet ends. Now treachery and intrigue plague the powerful families of the Montagues and Capulets in the wake of the young lovers’ tragic fate. The family’s rivalry increases and escalates quickly while a new royal takes the throne and struggles to decide what is best for his city, while Verona is an epicenter of mayhem.

Lashana Lynch is Rosaline Capulet. Juliet’s cousin. Who is entangled in the middle of a political conflict to try and save Verona. She will prove she’s a force to be reckoned with, especially on taking decision that will affect her life, and regarding her loyalty to her family’s name.

Ebonee Noel is Livia Capulet. Rosaline’s sister. The dream of her life is to get married, so that way she can have the life she always wanted it, but that romanticism makes her vulnerable and will drawn her to a sordid situation.

Wade Briggs is Benvolio Montague. Romeo’s cousin. Who becomes the sole heir of the Montague family after the tragedy, and will have to abide to a sinister plan to consolidate his family’s prominence.

Sterling Sulieman is Prince Escalus, a man new to the crown who is focused on stopping the bloodshed between the Capulets and the Montagues, but his only decision forces him to choose between protecting his kingdom or following his heart.

Medalion Rahimi is Princess Isabella, the sister of the new prince. At first, she’s eager to help her brother rule, but then she’ll start craving for the throne. And, the only way to get that power being a woman is through a twisted scheme.

Based on the book by Melinda Taub and set in 16th century Verona, it picks up where William Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet left off.

The series was developed for television by Heather Mitchell, who is writer and executive producer. Shonda Rhimes, Betsy Beers, Mark Wilding and Michael Goldstein are executive producers. Michael Offer is executive producer and director of the pilot.
