After Trek: Star Trek Discovery star Michelle Yeoh says, “It’s our responsibility to keep it exciting”

HOLLYWOOD, CA (Hollywood Daily Star) 2017/9/24 – “Star Trek has been with us for fifty years,” says Star Trek Discovery star Michelle Yeoh. “And, it’s our responsibility to keep it exciting.” The Asian star ship captain in Star Trek Discovery, Yeoh starred in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and often does her own stunts.

“It feels incredibly surreal to step into the Star Trek universe,” says Star Trek Discovery star Sonequa Martin-Green. “It’s stepping into a legacy.”

“We needed to maintain the core of what Trek has always been about,” says co-creator Alex Kurtzman. “And yet the scope and scale needed to expand so far beyond anything that had been in television before.”

After Trek will stream live weekly episodes will be available to watch on demand on CBS All Access.
