Nashville binge week starts Saturday, September 26th, and the reality series Breaking Band with legendary musical artists as mentors premiers on October 14th, 2015

HOLLYWOOD, CA (Hollywood Daily Star) 2015/8/31 – “AXS TV is looking forward to bringing our viewers a fall that features strong scripted storytelling with Nashville and dramatic unscripted fare with The X Factor UK,” says AXS TV programming SVP Michele Dix. “We’re also excited about Dan Rather’s The Big Interview returning, as well as Gotham Comedy Live, and our long-running popular mixed martial arts programming.”

AXS TV  is a music performance and entertainment event channel. This fall the network will have concerts, edgy comedy, hard-hitting MMA events, and candid interviews. Here’s their fall season…

Sunday, August 30th

Season 12 of  The X Factor UK. The series is airing for the second year on AXS TV. Returning judges are Simon Cowell and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini. New judges are pop star Rita Ora and BBC Radio 1 DJ Nick Grimshaw. Two new hosts are Olly Murs and TV personality Caroline Flack. Weekly on Sundays and Mondays at 8p et.

September 5th

Television premiere of Magnolia Pictures’ Oscar-winning documentary Man on Wire on Saturday, September 5th at 9pm ET. Filmed in New York and Paris, Man on Wire is the true story of daredevil Philippe Petit’s scheme to walk the high wire between New York’s landmark Twin Towers on August 7th, 1974.  Interviews with Petit and his crew. Man on Wire won the Oscar for Best Documentary in 2009.

September 26th

The first three seasons of the ABC hit drama series Nashville will air staring Saturday, September 26th, with three back-to-back episodes each week starting at 8pm

October 14th

The new original series Breaking Band is a six-episode half-hour documentary style reality series with legendary musical artists as mentors to up-and-coming artists. The series was filmed at YouTube Space LA.  The mentors include Mark McGrath (Sugar Ray), Belinda Carlisle (The Go-Go’s), Robin Zander (Cheap Trick), Moby, Sebastian Bach (Skid Row), and Dave Navarro (Jane’s Addiction).

Also on October 14th, the UK-produced documentary series Rock Legends  premieres its second season on Wednesday, October 14th, at 8pm ET. Stories on KISS, No Doubt, Amy Winehouse, Meat Loaf, Van Halen, Prince, and Tina Turner.
