Red carpet starts at 7:30p ET, awards at 8p-10p ET/PT, live on the east coast, delayed for the west coast

HOLLYWOOD, CA (Hollywood Daily Star) 2014/11/14 – “We’re still very much trying to maintain that feeling of casualness,” says Dick Clark Productions programming EVP Mark Bracco. “We want people to feel [the stars] are relaxed and in a room with their friends, where they can be more off the cuff.”

Eighteen awards will be handed out tonight.For 17 years The Hollywood Film Awards has recognized excellence in the the film industry. In past years when it was more informal with the stars introducing each other. This year the winners are not announced before the show, that is, if you’re on the east coast.

HFA was founded in 1997 by Carlos de Abreu, who also executive produces, and is produced by Dick Clark Productions. Allen Shapiro, Mike Mahan, Mark Bracco and R. A. Clark are also executive producers. Winners of the HFA are picked by founder Carlos de Abreu and a secret industry advisory board.

Stars scheduled to attend include Steve Carell, Johnny Depp, Angelina Jolie, Jared Leto, Jennifer Lopez, Robert Pattinson, Hilary Swank. Amy Adams, Gerard Butler, Benedict Cumberbatch, Robert Downey, Jr., Robert Duvall, Jonah Hill, Keira Knightley, Michael Keaton, Julianne Moore, Jack O’Connell, Chris Pratt, Kristen Stewart, Channing Tatum, Jean-Marc Vallée, Reese Witherspoon and Shailene Woodley. Janelle Monáe is scheduled to perform.

At 7:30pm the half hour red carpet starts followed directly by the HFA award show. CBS This Morning anchors Charlie Rose, Norah O’Donnell and Gayle King will host be interviewing and covering highlights after the award show ends from 10p-11pm, live ET/delayed PT.
