HOLLYWOOD, CA (Hollywood Daily Star) 2018/2/27 – “The highlight for me was observing the media celebrity sponsor volunteers mingling as one big happy family,” says Doris Bergman. “Wednesday’s Child has always been our charity, because no child should be without a forever home. I really believe there is no such thing as unwanted children. Just unfound families.”
Held at Fig and Olive in West Hollywood, Doris Bergman’s Oscar Style lounge and party was held on Saturday, February 24th, 2018, from 10am to 5pm. Select Oscar nominees, former Oscar and Golden Globe nominees or winners, Oscar presenters, iconic Hollywood couples, series regulars, industry VIPS and media were invited to the special day. Food, wine, special water and catching up at the event. Black Horn import a presenting sponsor provided Viru Valge vodka and Vana Tallinn liqueur to drink at the event.

Giving lasts all year. All guests were asked to bring new, unwrapped gifts… clothing, accessories, electronics, sporting equipment, and monetary donations for teens aged 13-18 in foster care for Wednesday’s Child, the the official charity for Doris Bergman events. Wednesday’s Child presents a weekly segment airing on KTTV FOX 11 News, Los Angeles, with anchor Christine Devine. The charity focuses on hard-to-place children in the L.A. County foster care system who need adoptive families. Bergman always invites some foster children to join in the festivities, to be a VIP.
Hosting the event was BuyWine.com serving a variety of wines and Spanish sparkling wine. They’ve launched a wine academy with classes to be like a sommelier. Wong’s expanded into lifestyle market with English Home, bath and stationary and her fragrances. Four fragrances: Beauty, Magic, Transformation and her original scent Sue Wong.
Art Lewin & Co. goes back to basics with a classic tie and pocket square. The colors this season are blues, purples and reds classics with a bit of a twist. He’s dressed Jon Voight, William Shattner and Sofia Milos. Lewin creates custom fitted suits for men and women.
Hypo Footwear presented a new lightweight ath-leisure shoe that comes in different colors and styles. Wear Hypo on the tennis court or just to walk around.
Timmy Woods Beverly Hills handbags are one-of-a-kind wooden and leather handbags. The bags are classic, fun and whimsical. For charity there was an autographed poster and bag that will be auctioned off. Woods gifted blingy key rings of the Eiffel Tower.
Impromptu founder Leyna Topete had a goal: make a lipstick her mother could wear. Her mother had a reaction to all other lipsticks. Topete took the time to figure out what her mother could wear and came up with her line of hypoallergenic lipstick. Impromptu supports the armed forces.
