HOLLYWOOD, CA (Hollywood Daily Star) 2017/2/5 – “The only pressure is, as an actor, to step into Eric Carter’s shoes and make him as fully and as complex and as flawed and as human as I could, and that’s the fun,” says 24 Legacy star Corey Hawkins. “That’s what we get to play with every day, those conversations in between the words, what’s not on the page. That’s the fun. Not really sort of following in the footsteps of anything that came before, because 24 is all about the moment that you’re in, and as an actor, that’s a gift.”
In 24:Legacy Corey Hawkings is Eric Carter, a U.S. Army Rangers Sergeant who leads an elite squad in Yemen. The squad kills terrorist leader Sheik Ibrahim Bin-Khalid. His followers declare a fatwah against Carter, his squad and their families. They are forced into witness protection. After six months, an attempt on Carter’s own life makes it clear the team has been exposed.
Miranda Otto is Rebecca Ingram, a former intelligence officer. She stepped down from her post as National Director of the Counter Terrorist Unit to support her husband in his campaign for President of the United States. Jimmy Smits is Senator John Donovan, Rebecca’s husband.
Carter enlists Rebecca to thwart further attacks, as she quarterbacked the raid responsible for killing Bin-Khalid. Together, the two uncover a sophisticated terrorist network, forcing them to question who they can trust. They will battle Bin-Khalid’s fanatics, their own identities, families and pasts.
