Season 2 has taken over Empire slot on Wednesday night

Season two of Wayward Pines continues the mystery of a small town on a come back with new characters. Most of the original cast is gone. Some were killed or died trying to save others. The new cast is younger and more appealing to the millennials. The small town held hostage by an unknown force is still there.
Dr. Theodore Yedlin, (Jason Patric) was snatched 2,000 years ago while on vacation in Hawaii and cryogenically frozen by Sheriff Pope (Terrence Howard). Thawed out to perform a surgery, the doctor still thinks he’s on vacation. He jumps out of a moving car to get away. Will he manage to get away or die trying?
Also new to the cast is Djimon Hounsou as CJ Mitchum, an original resident of Wayward Pines and the town historian.
