BEVERLY HILLS, CA (Hollywood Daily Star) 2014/4/29 – “We realized that canvas is a place where artists put their works on,” says Thursday Friday CEO Olena Sholomytska regarding her array of colorful and eco-friendly tote bags. “The main reason why we are here today is because all the celebrities are artists in their hearts. So, we are asking them to draw something or write something. Then we will take all of this input and create a celebrity inspired collection and all the proceeds from the sales of that collection will go to three charities: Stray Cat Alliance, City of Hope and Friends of Cedars.”

The fashion footwear brand Qupid delighted attendees with their extensive selection of shoes for ladies. This trendy and popular line is made of “vegan leather”. These shoes nonetheless have the look and feel of real leather, but are green and cruelty-free.
The Vampire Diaries has featured jewelry from The Artisan Group on various episodes. “The Heart of Dixie, Parenthood, Scandal, Pretty Little Liars, we’re working with The Bachelorette as well,” says The Artisan Group founder Valerie Guerrero. “They’re filming right now so we’ll see that play out I guess in May.” Jewelry on display included Hammered Sterling Teardrop Earrings and Green Onyx Teardrop Earrings.
In the beauty category guests received gift boxes from Fracassi Lashes, a set of false eyelashes. Very Pretty Skin founder Dr. Rosetta Garies chatted with invited guests and described her anti-aging skin care line.
Luxury travel provided by Caribbean Living Magazine with a three-night stay at Bolongo Bay in St. Thomas. Millennium International Travel provided a certificate for six days and five nights at the Mayan Palace Resort.

GBK recommended charities include Lambda Legal, the oldest legal association fighting for the civil rights of gay men, lesbians, bisexual and transgender communities, as well as people living with HIV/AIDS. On June 13 they will honor Dan Bucatinsky of Scandal at their West Coast Liberty Awards which will be held at the Beverly Wilshire Four Seasons in Beverly Hills, California. Bucatinsky will receive the Celebrity in the Spotlight Liberty Award “for the voice he has given to LGBT characters and families” in his role as James Novak on Scandal., according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Autism Speaks raises public awareness of autism and funds for research into the causes and potential cure for this devastating condition. On Saturday, April 26, this charity will hold their high profile fundraising event, Walk Now for Autism Speaks. The five kilometer walk will start at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena.
The American Red Cross was on hand to answer questions about providing emergency relief to victims of disaster.
The Los Angeles Youth Network helps homeless adolescents with emergency shelter, food, a transitional living programs and educational programs. Upcoming fundraiser on May 29th at the Tart Restaurant with a wine tasting event and silent auction.

Sabra gave attendees a reusable cooler bag containing their products.
