HOLLYWOOD, CA (Hollywood Daily Star) 2016/11/20 – “It’s very awkward. I have no choice but to go with the guy who essentially introduced the two of them,” says A December Bride star Jessica Lowndes. “While were at the wedding, in order to help me get this job promotion that I really want, he accidentally tells everyone that we’re engaged. And we keep the story going. And it turns into this whole snowball affect. My whole family thinks I’m getting married. And, I’m not.”
“My cousin sits on the board of the Hearties, the Canadian Association” says Lowndes. “She was so excited that I was working with him,” referring to costar Daniel Lissing of One Calls the Heart.
In A December Bride, Jessica Lowndes is Layla O’Rielly, an aspiring interior designer. Layla has planned a December wedding, but her fiancé leaves her for her cousin.
Daniel Lissing is Seth Murphy, a friend who becomes her date when she runs out of options to attend her cousin and ex-fiancé’s wedding. To avoid embarrassment, Seth tells Layla’s family they’re engaged, and Layla plays along. As they spend time decorating his house together for a holiday contest, the relationship becomes complicated. Based on the book by Denise Hunter. A December Bride is part of A Year of Wedding Novella.
Lowndes has a new song coming out called Underneath the Mask, available on iTunes. “I wanted to do something different with this video,” says Lowndes. “I decided to kind of come up with this challenge to encourage women. It’s all about embracing your natural beauty and celebrating what makes us unique.”
