HOLLYWOOD, CA (Hollywood Daily Star) 2017/7/16- “My character is a widow,” says Home For Christmas star Catherine Bell. “She lost her husband, a soldier, when she was pregnant with her daughter Betsy. So now the daughter is a teenager. She’s going off to college. Of course the mom does not want her to make the same mistakes, have the same hurt.”

“A dear friend of mine, Jennifer Aspen, who I’ve know for 20 years, we were in acting class together, we go way back, she came up with the idea for the story,” says Bell. “She called me up one day and said I’ve got to tell you the story. I have no time. I was flying back-and-forth to Toronto filming. She said, how about I drive you to the airport some day. I said, great. We drove to the airport. She tells me this story while she’s driving…very slowly, because she’s focusing on it and very passionate about the characters and story. I fell in love, and we got a chance to make it.

Catherine Bell is Jane McKendrick, a realtor. A mother and widow, she’s raised her daughter alone after her husband died serving his country.

Matreya Fedor is Betsy, Jane’s daughter. She wants to become a veterinarian. Working after school at the local diner, she meets a soldier who is stationed at the local military base.

Anthony Konechny is Tyler, the soldier. Tyler grew up on a farm. He and Betsy have a connection through animals. Jane tries to discourage the romance between Tyler and her daughter.

Victor Webster is Jackson, who owns the diner. Jackson has always been interested in Jane, but she only sees Jackson as a close friend.
