Premiere, a cat lover and a dog lover must find a way to get along with each other after renting the same house by mistake, on April 15th, 2017, at 6pm PT, 9pm ET
By Gabrielle Pantera
“I’m such a dog person,” says Gifford. “During a scene I had to jump on the bed and start crying. When I jumped on the bed he wasn’t prepared for it and was sort of licking me all over my face. He was supposed to stay there and look at me, but he felt it and wanted to make me feel better. He jumped up on me. I wish he’d done it the whole movie.”
In Like Cats And Dogs, Cassidy Gifford is Laura Haley, a dog lover. Along with her dog Frank, she goes to a lake house vacation rental for the summer. On the rebound from a breakup, Laura is there to relax. There’s been a reservation mix up. A second renter has been promised the house for the summer.
Wyatt Nash is Spencer Hodkins, who has a cat named Mozart. Spencer needs peace and quiet to finish the thesis that has been eluding him. With everywhere in the area already rented, Lara and Spencer have to share the lake house, along with their pets for two weeks.
Jacky Lai is Rose, Laura’s friend. Laura and Frank spend a night there to get away from Spencer and Mozart. They are very incompatible.
Hayley Sales is Susan, Spencer’s girlfriend. She calls to encourage his writing and hears that he is sharing the house with “an old guy and his mutt.”
Gwynyth Walsh is Ellen, the woman who owns the house Laura and Spencer are renting. She encourages Laura to pursue her love of photography. Spencer offers a truce to help them endure one another through the remainder of the two weeks. Laura and Spencer find moments in which they can really be themselves with one another. Frank and Mozart slowly start to get along, Laura and Spencer follow suit. The four become friends.
