HOLLYWOOD, CA (Hollywood Daily Stars) 2017/5/24 – “This is our third season,” says Casual star Michaela Watkins. “The first two seasons, nobody asked me to be naked…until I hit my forties. This season this idiot..this man…won the election and I don’t care what I look like. We went to shoot it and I said I don’t care, this is what I look like, I’m over 40.”
“Then the show gave me this wonderful present”, says Watkins. “His name is Chase Crawford. They were like, you’re going to be intimate with this person. People don’t know this, but there are a lot of young dudes out there who lie about their age to be with older women. The lie-up. Nobody told that when I was having a full panic attack in my thirties. Nobody said don’t worry, you’re going to get all the young guys you want.”
In Casual, Michaela Watkins is Valerie Cole, a newly divorced woman. After living with her brother and her daugther she decides to move out. It propels the trio to rebel.
Tommy Dewey is Alex Cole. He is Valerie’s younger brother. He is the co-founder of a dating site Snooger. Their father dies. This brings surprising consequences.
Tara Lynne Barr is Laura, Valerie’s teenage daughter. They adjust to a new normal. They start to explore different jobs, partners, and unfulfilled passions.
