HOLLYWOOD CA (Hollywood Daily Star) 2014/7/14 – “It could be some kind of weird cold poison,” says Going Deep host David Rees. “I’ve put ice into my body and I have no idea what it is, basically.”

Who is David Rees? A master of exploring the mundane, of what we think we know. He’s the author of the book How to Sharpen Pencils. Going Deep is about understanding the everyday things we do, how we do them and why we do things a certain way.

Whether it’s how you tie your shoe or getting the perfect ice cube, there’s a lot more to it than it seems. This show goes in depth with who and how things are done. It’s a great paring the show right after Brain Games with Jason Silva. We like the thinking aspect that National Geographic Channel is going with their shows.

  1. David, I like your show and you are pretty good too. However, I shudder every time you do “high fives”. It is SO out of place for any show host, so please control your high five urges.
