HOLYLWOOD, CA (Hollywood Daily Star) 5/31/2016 – “I told the guys last night that when I came down, I think this is about two years ago, and I came down to watch the show being filmed,” says America’s Got Talent judge Simon Cowell. “I was sitting in the audience, thinking they are very good, the panel. But I was kind of hoping one of them would hurt themselves. Not badly, but enough that I would have to go “I’m here,” because it really, really looked so much fun, this show. I was offered to do it five years ago, but I couldn’t do it. This felt like the perfect timing. It’s been a lot of fun.”

Cowell is more then a judge. He’s a co creator and executive producer too. He’s very involved with the British version of the show.

“My son has come down to the show a few times he calls the Xs scary kisses,” says Cowell. The X Factor judge, 56, and girlfriend Lauren Silverman, 38, celebrated their son’s  second birthday in February.

Cowell joins the judges panel alongside Heidi Klum, Mel B and Howie Mandel and Nick Cannon is back as host. The series is back in Los Angeles this summer. The live shows broadcast from the Dolby Theatre. There singers, dancers, comedians, contortionists, impressionists, jugglers, magicians, ventriloquists and hopeful stars which makes this more of a variety show that can be watched by the whole family. They all want to win the $1 million prize.

The summer 2015 winner was ventriloquist Paul Zerdin. In 2014, America chose magician Mat Franco.

America’s Got Talent is produced by FremantleMedia North America and Syco Entertainment. Cowell, Sam Donnelly, Jason Raff, Trish Kinane and Richard Wallace are the executive producers.
