NBC Heroes Reborn, Two-Hour Premier a World Without Heroes

HOLYLWOOD, CA   (Hollywood Daily Star) 2015/9/23 – “I always approached it as a show about characters,” says Heroes Reborn EP Tim Kring. “It was a show that was called Heroes and not Superpowers or Powers. So it was always meant to be about the characters themselves. And by going back to some of those original basic base note ideas of what the show was originally, it almost doesn’t matter what’s happened in the world around us. We’re telling that story that I think continues to be something that’s fascinating of people dealing with almost primal questions of what’s happening to me?”

2006 Kring brought us Heroes a science fiction TV drama. The show became a fan favorite. Heroes was about people who discover they have superhuman abilities and how their powers effected them and the world. Heroes Reborn continues the story of ordinary people who discover they possess extraordinary abilities. the show is A few of the original cast is part of the new show. There are similarities to the first series.  If you have special powers you are still being hunted.

A year ago, a terrorist attack in Odessa, Texas, left the city decimated. Blamed for the tragic event, those with extraordinary abilities are in hiding or on the run from those with want to make them pay for what happened. Two vigilantes Luke (Zachary Levi, Chuck) and Joanne (Judith Shekoni, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2), who are seeking to avenge the death of their son.

Awkward teen Tommy (Robbie Kay, Once Upon a Time) just wants to be normal teen. He likes Emily (Gatlin Green, Criminal Minds), but is not sure of anything since he found out he as an ability that scares him. Malina (Danika Yarosh, Shameless) has been very sheltered and been told that she’s destined for greatness. In Tokyo, a quiet young woman, Miko (Kiki Sukezane, Death Yankee 3), is trying to track down her missing father and keep secret an ability that could put her in danger. In another location former soldier Carlos (Ryan Guzman, The Boy Next Door) is coming into his own as a hero.

Noah Bennet, a.k.a. H.R.G. (Jack Coleman, Heroes), has gone off the grid but conspiracy theorist Quentin Frady (Henry Zebrowski, A to Z) finds him and opens his eyes to the truth behind the Odessa tragedy.

Renautas (Rya Kihlstedt, Masters of Sex) the head of the highly successful tech conglomerate has an agenda of her own.

Some of the heroes from the past, that join the new cast are: Hiro Nakamura (Masi Oka), Matt Parkman (Greg Grunberg), Mohinder Suresh (Sendhil Ramamurthy) and the Haitian (Jimmy Jean-Louis).

Joining Kring are executive producers James Middleton (“Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles”) and Peter Elkoff (“Sons of Anarchy”). “Heroes Reborn” is produced by Imperative Entertainment, in association with Universal Television.
