NBC’s Red Nose Day Special Host Chris Hardwick says, “Help kids in need”

HOLLYWOOD, CA (Hollywood Daily Star) 2017/5/25 – “This year Red Nose Day celebration is bigger and better than ever” says the Red Nose Day Special host Chris Hardwick “You’re going to get a chance to help kids in need, not only in the United States but around the globe.”


“Red Nose Day’s effort to lift children out of poverty is centered around heart and humanity, and we’re excited to create a night of programming that reflects this. From Julia Roberts and Bear Grylls showing viewers the impact of their donations, to celebrities challenging themselves on “American Ninja Warrior” to raise funds and awareness, this will be an incredible night,” said NBC Alternative and Reality Group president Paul Telegdy. “We are thrilled to have Chris’ wit and compassion championing the evening as our host for ‘The Red Nose Day Special.'”

Hosted by Chris Hardwick, this is the third year for Red Nose Day.

Celebrity Ninja Warrior for Red Nose Day starring Derek Hough, Stephen Amell, Natalie Morales starts at 8pm ET/PT. Running Wild with Bear Grylls for Red Nose Day is at 9pm,  features Academy Award winner Julia Roberts and her travel to Kenya, shows the impact of viewer’s donations.

Red Nose Day is an annual campaign that uses the power of entertainment to raise money and awareness for children living in poverty. Run by the nonprofit Comic Relief Inc. Beneficiaries of Red Nose Day grants include Boys & Girls Clubs of America; charity water; Children’s Health Fund, Feeding America; Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance; National Council of La Raza; Save the Children; and the Global Fund.
