Season finale premieres on Tuesday, April 10th, 2018, 9:30-10:00 pm ET/PT on FOX
“I think it’s really great how they approached the last episode,” says Simone. “I don’t know about you guys. I binge watch TV shows and then it’s like, over. What happened? Did they have babies? Did they get married? So it’s kind of cool that we went forward four years and you see what’s happened to all the characters, where they are in their lives. You get to see Cece and Schmidt as a mom and dad. All that great stuff.”
Simone next has The Great American Hero title role, the first female superhero of color.
The New Girl series premiered on September 20th, 2011, as sort of a Friends for the millennials but with much more drinking. The final season of New Girl jumps ahead several years from when season 7 ended. Most of the stars are back this final season. There are lots of Easter eggs on the show for fans to find.
Hannah Simone as Cece and Max Greenfield as Schmidt have a three year old, Lamorne Morris as Winston and Nasim Pedrad as Aly have a baby on the way and Zooey Deschanel as Jess and Jake Johnson are together again they just got back from a book tour in Europe. Will they be together at the end of the series or will past relationship come back to haunt them and screw up their happily ever after?
The one-hour season finale will air Tuesday, May 15th, 2018 , at 9pm ET/PT
