Paramount Ghost in the Shell, star Scarlett Johansson says, “Feelings of betrayal, abandonment”

HOLLYWOOD, CA (Hollywood Daily Star) 2017/3/31 – “The character is living with these feelings of betrayal, abandonment, disassociation and self-questioning” says Ghost in the Shell star Scarlet Johansson. “All of these heavy things as she journeys down this road to discover her own identity. She is the head of a government funded group, Section 9, that fights cyber-terrorism, which she believes to be humanity’s biggest threat.”


Ghost in the Shell is a society where terrorism has reached a level that gives criminals the ability to hack into people’s minds. Major works to stop this, until she realizes that she has been lied to by her own people. She embarks on a mission to gain knowledge about her own existence.
