HOLLYWOOD, CA (Hollywood Daily Star) 2015/7/28 –“I became a member of the church that I belong to in Los Angeles years ago because I wanted to, but also because I wanted my son baptized in this particular church,” said Face Off host McKenzie Westmore in a Zap2it story.
“When I was approached to become a minister, it wasn’t even a second thought. I was honored that they asked, but for it to be part of the challenge of marrying couples in special-effects makeup was so off-the-wall crazy and cool, of course I was going to do it.”
Sixteen artist over fourteen episodes will work in teams of two constructing original alien animals that will incorporate two models into one large creation.
Tuesday, August 11 at 9 p.m., Face Off celebrates its 100th episode. The artists will turn real-life engaged couples into whimsically undead duos. Directly following the challenge, host McKenzie Westmore, an ordained minister, will marry the couples in front of friends and family.
Hollywood makeup artist Michael Westmore senior (Star Trek), is the contestants’ mentor. The judges are SFX Academy Award-winner Ve Neill (The Hunger Games, Pirates of the Caribbean), industry veteran Glenn Hetrick (CSI: New York, Heroes, Legion), and creature designer Neville Page (Avatar, Prometheus)
Each week contestants will be eliminated until only three remain for a finale showdown. The winning artist will receive $100,000, a 2015 Fiat and a VIP trip courtesy of Kryolan Professional Make-Up to one of their 85 international locations.
