Summer at The CW imports British sit-com Dates, continues Penn & Teller, Top Model, and Who’s Line, starting May 21st, 2015

HOLLYWOOD, CA (Hollywood Daily Star) 2015/5/20 – The CW has three new show for summer 2015 they are Significant Mother, Dates and A Wicked Offer.
Shows returning include scripted series Beauty and the Beast, Penn & Teller: Fool Us, Masters of Illusion and the 22nd cycle of America’s Next Top Model.

Contestants try to fool Penn & Teller with their best magic tricks. Penn & Teller only get to see the trick once and then have to try to figure out how they did it. Can they be fooled? The show has a live studio audience, so no digital tricks. Hosted by Jonathan Ross, Penn & Teller: Fool Us is created and produced by 117 Productions and September Films (part of DCD Media), with executive producers Penn Jillette, Teller, Peter Adam Golden, and Andrew Golder. The ones who are able to fool them get to perform in Penn and Teller’s show at the Rio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.

9:00-9:30pm Dates NEW (Series Premiere) A British series in each episode they focuses on a first date between two people who met through an online dating service. The first two episodes are back-to-back. Watch as the series explores how people date in the electronic age. Most of the cast changes with each episode, Staring are Oona Chaplin (Game of Thrones), Ben Chaplin (Thin Red Line), Andrew Scott (Sherlock), Katie McGrath (Dracula), Amanda Hale (The White Queen) and Gemma Chan (Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit). Bryan Elsley created the series that aired on Channel 4 in Great Britain. Dates is produced by Balloon (Dates) Ltd., and distributed by eOne.

Masters of Illusion features magic performed by cutting-edge illusionists, escape artists, and performers in front of a live studio audience. There are 13 half-hour episodes hosted by actor Dean Cain (Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman). Masters of Illusion is from Associated Television International with executive producers David McKenzie (The 38th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards, Marie), Al Schwartz (The 38th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards, The Golden Globe Awards 2013 & 2014, The Gulf is Back), Gay Blackstone (The World Magic Awards 2007-2009) and David Martin (Marie), along with co-executive producers Justin Pierce (The Rocky Saga: Going the Distance) and Jim Romanovich (Inside Story: Ferris Bueller’s Day Off).

Significant Mother was initially developed as a digital series for CW Seed, The CW’s digital studio, before being ordered to series for the broadcast network. Nate’s (Josh Zuckerman) budding restaurateur in Portland comes back from a trip to find Jimmy (Nathaniel Buzolic), his best friend and roommate, is dating his mother Lydia (Krista Allen) who recently separated from his father Harrison (Jonathan Silverman). Nate’s father has realized what he lost and it trying to win Lydia back. He wants his parents back together, but this is the first serious relationship Jimmy has ever had. What’s a guy to do? Significant Mother stars Josh Zuckerman (90210); Krista Allen (What About Brian); Jonathan Silverman (Weekend at Bernie’s); Emma Fitzpatrick (The Social Network); and Jay Ali (The Fosters).
