HOLLYWOOD, CA (Hollywood Daily Star) 2016/12/16 – It’s Friday night and there’s nothing new to watch on TV except for Amazon The Man in the High Castle.

If you want something more upbeat to watch than an alternate world where America is run by Nazis, maybe you want to pick an at-home date movie…

Friends with Benefits (2011) is on E! at 9:30pm. Two incredibly good-looking friends become perfectly happy lovers supporting each other as equals until they trip on stereotypical man-woman emotional baggage and mess it up with self-sabotage.

It’s a Wonderful Life (1946) is on USA at 9:30pm. Jimmy Stewart marries the hottest girl in town, lives in a big house, has a great family, and runs his own exciting business, a small town bank. He’s happy, right? Nope. An angel has to talk him down from jumping off a bridge.

Lifetime is showing a Christmas movie marathon, including Holly’s Holiday (2012) at 7:30pm and A Christmas Wedding Date (2012) at 9:30pm. What’s the plot? Who cares? Time for a feel-good movie.

Star Trek Original Series fans, BBC America is marathoning episodes tonight. Or, space flick fans can catch Apollo 13 on Ovation at 8:30pm.

If none of those appeal, there’s Netflix, Hulu and for documentaries, CuriosityStream.
